No possibility to upload different CVs for each application?

Hi, I reformulate my resume for almost every job. Well, I had already applied to one employer. When I applied again via the Join platform, it said "If you re-upload your resume, it will be changed for all your applications." (or something like that). If this is true, then I have to create a new account for each of my applications. It can't be that I first apply to company X, then to company Y with a new CV and cover letter and company X then sees the CV that was intended for company Y. I can't find any information about this in my account, nor can I see how my profile is displayed for employers and what they can see. I would really appreciate some clarification, as time is running out.
